Telescopic scandal - L'Oreal used false eyelashes on Penny
Apparently L'Oreal's mascara advert with Penelope Cruz is now banned; for telling lies to women! Check out the Guardian article below, it really sums up well the ever widening gap between the woman on the billboard and the everyday woman. Doesn't the picture above look more like a painting?

Its interesting that this advert has caused such a fuss when beauty companies have always used fake eyelashes in mascara adverts. Beauty, like all advertising, is aspirational. Thats why they use the stunning Penelope Cruz and not some minger off the street. I think any woman who actually thinks that any mascara could make her lashes look like the ones in the advert is frankly dumb. No one has ever put on a mascara to find lashes have suddenly grown two inches and are full and thick. Get real women! You're not going to look like Penelope Cruz either!
